Orlando Cepeda: The First Puerto Rican MLB Star Passes Away at 86
Broke On: Saturday, 29 June 2024Orlando Cepeda, the first Puerto Rican MLB star and 1967 NL MVP, has passed away at 86. Throughout his career, he played for six teams and finished with 379 home runs and a .297 batting average. Inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1999, Cepeda's passing comes just 11 days after another Giants legend, Willie Mays.
