Buffalo Bills Sign Two-Time Super Bowl Champion Wide Receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling
The Buffalo Bills have added another weapon to their offense with the signing of two-time Super Bowl champion wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling. Valdes-Scantling, who spent the last two seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs, is joining forces with quarterback Josh Allen.
Valdes-Scantling began his NFL career with the Green Bay Packers and played four seasons there before signing with the Chiefs in 2022. He was a fifth-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft and had his best season with the Packers in 2020 when he caught 33 passes for a career-high 690 yards and six touchdowns.
During his time with the Chiefs, Valdes-Scantling started in ten games and totaled 21 receptions, 315 receiving yards, and one touchdown. He was a valuable contributor to their Super Bowl winning teams in the 2022 and 2023 seasons.
Valdes-Scantling is known for his speed and ability to make big plays downfield. He will add depth to the Bills' receiver room, which lost starters Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis this offseason.
The Bills have been active in adding receivers this offseason, signing free agents Mack Hollins, Chase Claypool, and Quintez Cephus. They also used their first pick in the draft to select Florida State's Keon Coleman.
Valdes-Scantling was originally drafted by the Packers in the fifth round of the 2018 NFL Draft. He played collegiately at NC State and University of South Florida. Valdes-Scantling is from St. Petersburg, FL.
