Bears' 2024 NFL Season Prep: Newcomers, Returning Stars Ready for Training Camp

The Chicago Bears are gearing up for the 2024 NFL season, and training camp is just around the corner. The rookies reported on July 16, and veterans will follow suit on July 19. The Bears have an impressive group of newcomers this year, including first-round pick Caleb Williams and wide receiver Rome Odunze.

Tremaine Edmunds and T.J. Edwards are returning veteran linebackers for the Bears who had productive seasons in 2023. They finished 1st and 2nd on the team in tackles with a combined total of 157 tackles, seven interceptions, and three fumble recoveries.

Joining them are Jack Sanborn, Noah Sewell, Amen Ogbongbemiga, Micah Baskerville, Carl Jones Jr., and Paul Moala. These players bring a mix of experience and potential to the linebacker corps.

Dominique Robinson is another player to watch on defense. He has reportedly changed his body since the end of last season and will compete for playing time at defensive end.

Terell Smith also had effective starts in place of injured starters Jaylon Johnson and Tyrique Stevenson, making it difficult for coaches not to play him on defense.

The Bears rookies, including Williams and Odunze, are expected to sign their contracts soon and join their teammates at Halas Hall. Training camp practices will begin on July 20.
