EA Sports has revealed the top defensive teams in College Football 25, with The Ohio State University taking the top spot. The Buckeyes, led by head coach Ryan Day and defensive coordinator Jim Knowles, had an overall rank of 96. Georgia, Oregon, Alabama, and Clemson also made it to the list of top-ranking defenses.
Travis Hunter from Colorado Buffalos is one of the potential stars in College Football 25 with a rating that could be in the high 90s or even 99 overall due to his electrifying speed and versatility as a two-way player. Will Campbell from LSU, considered the best offensive lineman in the upcoming NFL Draft, is another notable mention.
However, there are some discrepancies between EA Sports' ratings and projections based on advanced statistics. For instance, Alabama's defense was ranked fourth by EA but only 18th according to some models due to Nick Saban coaching an offensive-minded team with a roster that ranks outside the top 100 in defensive returning production.
Texas A&M's defense, led by coordinator Jay Bateman, was ranked 19th overall in EA Sports' College Football 25 video game. Other notable defenses include those of Georgia, Michigan, Iowa, Oregon, LSU, USC and Auburn.
