On the first day, she wore a white minidress with a plunging neckline and structured lapels. The dress was cinched at the waist with an overly long men's belt looped stylishly to one side. Stone accessorized her look with strappy black heels, round sunglasses in brown, and diamond studs in her ears. She wore a coral pink lip.
The following day, Stone donned a custom Louis Vuitton gown for the red carpet event. The dress featured a deep plunge neckline and was adorned with burgundy sequins that shimmered in various hues of pink, red, and purple. Stone kept her accessories minimal, wearing only a gigantic cuff bracelet set with diamonds and a ruby.
During the press conference on May 18, a journalist from Kazakhstan's 98 Magazine addressed Stone as 'Emily,' which is actually her given name. She chose to go by 'Emma' to honor her favorite Spice Girls band member, Emma Bunton. Lanthimos intervened and corrected the journalist, but Stone explained the situation herself.
Stone has previously mentioned that she chose the name 'Emma' for its similarity to her real name and because she identified with it. In a 2018 interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, she shared that as a child, she was blonde and wanted to be called Emma after Baby Spice from the Spice Girls.
The press conference for 'Kinds of Kindness' also featured co-stars Jesse Plemons, Margaret Qualley, Joe Alwyn, and Willem Dafoe.
