Former President Donald Trump is set to return to Pennsylvania for a rally in honor of Corey Comperatore, a firefighter who died shielding his family during Trump's July 13 campaign event in Butler County. The rally will take place at the Butler Farm Show grounds, where the shooting occurred. Trump was injured by a bullet during the incident and two others were seriously wounded.
Trump announced his plans to return to Pennsylvania on his Truth Social platform, stating, “I will be going back to Butler, Pennsylvania, for a big and beautiful rally,” adding “What a day it will be — Fight, Fight, Fight! Stay tuned for details.”
Retired Buffalo Township Fire Chief Corey Comperatore, 50, tragically lost his life while protecting his family during the shooting. Two others in the crowd were also seriously injured: David Dutch, 57, of Plum was released from the hospital on July 26; James Copenhaver, 74, of Moon remains hospitalized in serious but stable condition.
Since the shooting incident, Trump has only appeared at indoor venues for his rallies. Security experts suggest that indoor venues are more secure compared to outdoor events.
The exact date and time of Trump's return to Pennsylvania have not been announced yet.
