In a shocking turn of events, four juvenile girls were stabbed during separate incidents at an AMC movie theater in Braintree, Massachusetts, and a McDonald's restaurant in Plymouth. According to reports from various sources,
At around 6 p.m. on May 25, a male suspect entered the AMC Braintree movie theater without paying and encountered four girls in one of the theaters. Without warning or provocation, he attacked them unprovoked.
The suspect then fled the scene in a black SUV with an unidentified license plate number. The girls were rushed to Boston hospitals for treatment of their injuries, which are not considered life-threatening.
About an hour later and approximately 30 minutes south of Braintree, two additional victims were stabbed at a McDonald's restaurant in Plymouth. A 21-year-old woman and a 29-year-old man were taken to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the crimes are related, as the same suspect is believed to be responsible for both incidents. The suspect's vehicle was pursued by Massachusetts State Police and crashed in Sandwich, leading to his arrest. His identity has not been released yet.
The Braintree Police Department reported that the first attack occurred at around 6 p.m., while the second incident took place at approximately 7 p.m.
The AMC theater was placed on lockdown shortly after the incident, and an AMC employee confirmed that a male suspect had entered without paying.
