Former President Donald Trump, the GOP front-runner, has announced that he will not attend the debate.
Four Republican candidates have qualified for the fourth GOP presidential debate.
The debate will be hosted by NewsNation and streamed on their website, as well as on Rumble.
The fourth Republican presidential debate is set to take place at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. The lineup for the debate includes four candidates: Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, and former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie. Notably absent from the event will be former President Donald Trump, who has chosen to skip the debate.
The debate will be hosted by NewsNation and will be moderated by Elizabeth Vargas and Megyn Kelly. It will be streamed on NewsNation's website, as well as on Rumble. The participants for the debate were determined by the Republican National Committee, with candidates needing to hit at least 6 percent in two national polls, or 6 percent in one national poll and 6 percent in polls of two different early-primary states to qualify. Additionally, they needed to have 80,000 donors and 200 unique donors in 20 different states.
The absence of Trump, who is currently the GOP front-runner, and his refusal to sign the 'Beat Biden' pledge, have been noted as factors that may make the debate less impactful. However, the event still promises to be a significant platform for the participating candidates to present their policies and visions for the country.
