Many Americans celebrate this day with barbecues and fireworks. But before planning your Fourth of July activities, it's essential to know which stores and services will be open or closed.
Here's a list of what you can expect for the Fourth of July 2024:
Stores and Restaurants Open on July 4th: Applebee's, Arby's, BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse, Buffalo Wild Wings, Cheesecake Factory, Chili's Grill & Bar, IHOP (International House of Pancakes), McDonald's, Olive Garden Italian Restaurant, Outback Steakhouse Aldi (with reduced hours), CVS Pharmacy (with reduced hours), Dollar General Home Depot and Lowe's hardware stores publix Super Markets, Inc. sam's club (open from 8 am to 6 pm for Plus members and 10 am to 6 pm for Club members) TJ Maxx/Marshalls/Home Goods Trader Joe's (closing at 5 pm) Walgreens pharmacies Walmart stores (open with varying hours, check local store hours before going) Whole Foods Market stores (most closing early, at 6 pm) Starbucks Coffee Company locations may be open but hours vary by location sweetgreen and TGI Fridays wendy's and Whataburger UPS Express Critical service is available for urgent shipments. USPS will not pick up or deliver mail on July 4th as it is a federal holiday. FedEx Custom Critical will be open for crucial shipments but most FedEx services are closed.
Government and Financial Institutions Closed on July 4th: federal offices, post offices, courts and schools are closed banks and the stock market are closed (Nasdaq and New York Stock Exchange) nonessential government offices such as the DMV and public libraries.
Mail Services: fedex office locations will be open with modified hours but FedEx will not operate delivery services on July 4th, except for Custom Critical and Trade Network deliveries. uPS Store locations will be closed on July 4th, and there will be no pickup or delivery services, except for UPS Express Critical. USPS is closed on the Fourth of July.
