In the upcoming holiday season, two beloved institutions are coming together for a heartwarming story of love and football: Hallmark Channel and the Kansas City Chiefs. The movie, titled 'Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story', is set to premiere later this year as part of Hallmark's Countdown to Christmas.
The film follows Alana (Hunter King), a dedicated fan of the Kansas City Chiefs whose family has been supporting the team for generations. When she enters the team's Fan of the Year contest, she meets Derrick (Tyler Hynes), the Chiefs' Director of Fan Engagement. Sparks fly between them, but their budding romance is put to the test when Alana's grandfather's vintage Chiefs hat goes missing.
Joining this star-studded cast are some familiar faces from the world of football. Kansas City Chiefs Head Coach Andy Reid makes his feature film debut in 'Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story'. Three-time Super Bowl champion and future Hall of Famer, Reid brings a wealth of experience to the set.
Also making appearances are current players Trey Smith, Mecole Hardman, Clyde Edwards-Helaire, George Karlaftis and Chiefs fan and red carpet correspondent Taylen Biggs. The film will be shot on location at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.
But the surprises don't end there! Donna Kelce (Jenna Bush Hager), mother of Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, makes her acting debut in 'Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story'. She plays the manager of Kansas City BBQ restaurant Norma & Nic's. Fans of the show will remember Jenna from her co-hosting duties on TODAY with Hoda & Jenna.
Ed Begley Jr., Diedrich Bader, Megyn Price, and Richard Riehle round out the impressive cast. With a story full of love, football, and holiday magic, 'Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story' is sure to be a must-watch for fans of both Hallmark Channel and the Kansas City Chiefs.
