Honor, a Chinese smartphone maker, has announced its latest number-series devices, the Honor 200 and Honor 200 Pro. Both phones share key hardware features such as 6.7-inch OLED displays with FHD+ 120Hz refresh rate, 50MP main and portrait cameras, and 5,200mAh batteries with support for 100W wired charging. The Honor 200 Pro features a more capable Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset and offers wireless charging, while the vanilla Honor 200 opts for the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chip and lacks wireless charging. The main camera on the back of the Honor 200 Pro uses a custom H9000 sensor, a collaboration with legendary French photography studio Harcourt that delivers professional studio lighting effects using AI. The third shooter on the back is a 12MP ultrawide lens with autofocus and dedicated 2.5cm macro mode. Both phones also pack 50MP front-facing cameras and run on MagicOS 8.0 based on Android 14.
The Honor 200 starts at CNY 2,699 ($372) in its 12/256GB trim and goes up to CNY 3,199 ($442) for the 16/512GB version. The Honor 200 Pro comes in at CNY 3,499 ($483) in the baseline 12/256GB trim and tops out at CNY 4,499 ($621) in its 16GB RAM and 1TB storage version. Both phones will be available on open sale in China from May 31. Honor is holding a global launch event for the 200 series on June 12 in Paris where we’ll get pricing and availability for international markets.
Google has also announced a partnership with Honor to incorporate its AI features into the upcoming smartphone lineup. The integration will include Google’s AI assistant Gemini and Imagen 2, a text-to-image generation tool.
