In recent international news, British Foreign Secretary David Cameron made his first trip abroad to Kyiv, Ukraine. This visit comes amidst reports from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy of a decrease in the delivery of artillery shells since the Israel-Hamas war.

In a bid to support Ukraine's healthcare system, which is grappling with the impact of Russia's war, 200 Ukrainian medics have completed a NATO training program. This development was part of NATO's activities in November 2023, which also included the NATO Military Committee holding the first NATO-Ukraine Council in Military Representatives format.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has been active in discussions with various international leaders. He met with Latvian President Edgars Rinkēvičs to discuss support for Ukraine and with the EU College of Commissioners to discuss the NATO-EU partnership. Stoltenberg also discussed the protection of critical undersea infrastructure and support to Ukraine with EU Defence Ministers.
