In Game 3, Joel Embiid had set a new playoff career-high by scoring an impressive 50 points on just 19 shots. Tyrese Maxey contributed with 25 points, four rebounds, seven assists, and two steals. Embiid was the leading scorer in the playoffs (37.7 ppg), while Maxey ranked fourth (31.0 ppg).
The Knicks had won Games 1 and 2 at home but suffered a defeat in Game 3 at Wells Fargo Center, with the Sixers taking a narrow lead of three points at halftime.
