Kansas City Chiefs' Rashee Rice Under Investigation for Assault at Dallas Nightclub and Multi-Car Crash

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice is under investigation for two separate incidents: an alleged assault at a Dallas nightclub and his role in a multi-car crash on March 30, 2024.

According to multiple reports, Rice is suspected of assaulting someone at a nightclub located in the 600 block of North Harwood Street in Dallas early on May 7, 2024. The victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Dallas Police confirmed an investigation into the incident but did not release any further details or name Rice as a suspect at that time.

Rice's legal troubles began on March 30, 2024, when he was involved in a multi-car crash on North Central Expressway. The incident left four people with injuries and resulted in Rice being charged with eight felony counts: one count of aggravated assault, one count of collision involving serious bodily injury, and six counts of collision involving injury.

Rice turned himself in to police on April 11 and was later released on bail. The Chiefs coach Andy Reid stated that the team would 'keep gathering information from law enforcement' before taking any further action against Rice.

The Kansas City Chiefs selected Rice in the second round of the 2023 NFL draft out of Southern Methodist University.
