Epic Games, in collaboration with LEGO, is set to launch a new game mode within Fortnite, aptly named LEGO Fortnite. The new mode, scheduled for release on December 7, 2023, at 5 a.m. MST, aims to take the game back to its roots of crafting, building, and survival.
LEGO Fortnite features procedurally generated maps that are 20 times the size of the battle royale maps. Players can build bases and villages using over 10,000 types of LEGO bricks. The game mode will feature an open-world environment with LEGO characters, dragons, castles, and mines. Players can expect different weather cycles, crafting, wildlife, and more.
The game will feature over 1,200 Outfits with LEGO Styles, and players can join the LEGO Fortnite mode through the Discover Page. The collaboration will transform over 1,200 skins in the game into LEGO minifigures. The main character, Brite Bomber, enters a Lego-fied world through a reality-shifting rift and embarks on a survival adventure, crafting tools and weapons, building shelters, and encountering various challenges.
LEGO Fortnite, along with two other new experiences, Rocket Racing and Fortnite Festival, will be available in Fortnite starting December 7. The collaboration between Epic Games and LEGO aims to bring the popular battle royale game to a new audience of LEGO fans. LEGO Fortnite is expected to be a permanent mode in the game, offering a new adventure in the popular game.
