In the ongoing NBA Finals between the Dallas Mavericks and Boston Celtics, Luka Doncic's injury status has been a topic of concern. The Mavericks star was initially listed as probable for Game 2 but was later downgraded to questionable due to a thoracic contusion.
According to multiple reports, Doncic received painkilling injections before both Game 2 and Game 3 of the NBA Finals. The injury is believed to have occurred during Game 1, either while taking a charge or diving on a loose ball.
Despite the injury, Doncic put up impressive numbers in both games. In Game 1, he scored 30 points with 10 rebounds and in Game 2, he finished with a game-high 32 points along with 11 rebounds and 11 assists.
Doncic's injury is not the only concern for the Mavericks. He has also been dealing with a right knee sprain and left ankle soreness throughout the playoffs.
The Celtics, on the other hand, have been playing without any major injuries in the NBA Finals. They are currently leading 2-0 in the series.
In Game 2, Jrue Holiday led the Celtics with a strong performance. He scored 26 points and had 11 rebounds to help secure a victory for his team.
