Machine Gun Kelly (MGK) and Jelly Roll have released a new collaboration titled 'Lonely Road.' The song pays homage to John Denver's classic tune, 'Take Me Home, Country Roads,' but with darker and pop-heavier elements. MGK sings about being alone on the chorus while Fox is depicted as his pregnant partner in the music video.
The duo met in prison where Fox holds their baby girl to meet him. Both MGK and Jelly Roll navigate different hardships as they work to grow their families.
Megan Fox, who has been open about her infertility struggles with MGK, is depicted as pregnant in the video. Bunnie XO, wife of Jelly Roll, also features in the music video. The two couples sit together at a dinner party and pray over their food before enjoying their meal.
The collaboration took 2 years to make and was worked on in 8 different studios and 4 countries. MGK robs a bank in the music video but stores the money he stole away for Fox before being captured.
MGK has been experimenting with country music, having previously shared a performance of 'Sun To Me,' a cover of Zach Bryan's song. Jelly Roll released his album 'Whitsitt Chapel' in 2023 and will embark on his upcoming 'Beautifully Broken Tour' in August.
Despite their hardships, both couples remain hopeful and find solace in each other.
