Thousands of pounds of liquid egg products have been recalled due to misbranding and undeclared allergens, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS). The affected products contain milk, a known allergen that was not declared on the product label.

The recall was initiated by Michael Foods Inc., based in Gaylord, Minnesota. The recalled products were produced on June 11 and have a use-by date of September 16, 2024.

The mislabeled products were shipped to restaurants and institutions in Alabama, Idaho, Louisiana, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Mexico, Ohio, South Carolina and Utah.

Consumers who have purchased the recalled products are urged not to consume them and to either throw them away or return them to their place of purchase. There have been no reported cases of adverse reactions related to the consumption of these products.

The FSIS is concerned that some product may still be in institutional refrigerators and urges establishments not to serve these products.
