The highly-anticipated boxing match between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul has been rescheduled for November 15, 2024. The location of the fight remains at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The postponement was due to an ulcer flare-up suffered by Mike Tyson.
The co-main event for the evening will feature Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano, with Taylor's undisputed super lightweight title on the line.
Mike Tyson, a former heavyweight champion at 57 years old, has a record of 50 wins (44 by knockout) in his career. He last fought against Roy Jones Jr. in an exhibition match in November 2020 which ended in a draw.
Jake Paul, who is 27 years old and has ten professional bouts under his belt, boasts a record of nine wins (six by knockout). His most recent fight was against Ryan Bourland, which he won via first-round TKO in March 2024.
The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation has approved the new date for the event. Both fighters will use 14-ounce gloves and the fight will consist of eight two-minute rounds. The event marks Netflix's first combat sports broadcast and third sporting event overall following The Netflix Cup, a golf tournament between Formula 1 drivers and PGA Tour players, and The Netflix Slam, a tennis match between Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz.
Tyson had initially planned to resume training shortly after the postponement but is now fully prepared for the rescheduled date. Paul has expressed his support for the postponement, stating that Tyson will have no excuses come fight night.
Tickets purchased before the postponement of the event will be honored for the new date of November 15.
