Motorola, the renowned tech company, is set to reveal its latest offerings in the Razr line of foldable smartphones on June 25, 2024. The announcement was made through a teaser video posted on social media platforms. According to various sources and rumors, there will be at least two models: the standard Razr and the premium Razr Plus. Both devices are expected to come with significant improvements over their predecessors.
The standard Razr model is rumored to feature a 3.6-inch Quick View display with a 120Hz refresh rate, powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7300X and equipped with an FHD+ resolution, 8GB RAM, and 256GB storage. The device may also have a primary camera of 50MP, an ultra-wide camera of 13MP, and a selfie camera of 32MP.
The premium Razr Plus model is expected to boast a larger external Quick View display, possibly around 4 inches with a refresh rate of 165Hz. It may be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 and come with a larger internal display of approximately 6.9 inches, also featuring an FHD+ resolution and a high refresh rate.
Both devices are anticipated to have significant improvements in their cover displays, offering users more functionality without having to open the foldable phones. Additionally, they may feature vegan leather backings and various color options such as orange, blue, pink, and cafe-brown.
The pricing for these new Razr models is rumored to remain the same as their 2023 counterparts: $699 for the standard Razr and $999 for the premium Razr Plus. The release date and order of availability are yet to be confirmed, but consumers can expect them to hit the shelves soon after their official unveiling on June 25, 2024.
