The trio drafted and circulated a certificate purporting to be from Trump's Wisconsin allies under the guise that they had been duly appointed as fake electors, but it lacked a disclaimer stating it was only meant to be an option if legal challenges succeeded.
Trump is also facing charges in Georgia under the state Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act law and has a federal election-interference case against him. He was also named as an unindicted co-conspirator in Michigan.
