The Office universe is expanding once again with a new mockumentary-style comedy series in the works at Peacock. The new show, which will be produced by Universal Television, is not a reboot or spinoff of The Office but rather a fresh take set in the same universe.
According to reports, Greg Daniels and Michael Koman are leading the ensemble cast of the new series. Domhnall Gleeson and Sabrina Impacciatore have been confirmed as two of the stars. The documentary crew, who previously immortalized Dunder Mifflin's Scranton branch, are now in search of a new subject when they discover a dying historic Midwestern newspaper and the publisher trying to revive it with volunteer reporters.
