The 2024 NFL Draft came to a close with Rounds 4-7 on Saturday. The Seahawks and Vikings were among the teams making selections, adding cornerback D.J. James from Auburn and tackle Walter Rouse from Oklahoma, respectively.
D.J. James was selected by the Seahawks in the sixth round with pick 192 overall. He started all 13 games at left tackle for Oklahoma in his lone season there and earned Honorable Mention All-Big 12 recognition for his performance.
After beginning his college career at Oregon, James transferred to Auburn for his final two seasons. In those two years, he started 22 of 24 games played and led the team with 10 interceptions in his last season.
Walter Rouse was drafted by the Vikings with pick 177 overall in the fifth round. He started all 13 games at left tackle for Oklahoma during his lone season there and also earned Honorable Mention All-Big 12 recognition.
Rouse began his college career at Stanford, where he was a four-year starter and garnered Honorable Mention All-Pac-12 honors in 2020 and 2022. He played in a total of 45 games (39 starts) for the Cardinal.
The NFL Draft consisted of seven rounds with a total of 257 picks. The first round took place on Thursday, while Rounds 4-7 occurred on Saturday.
Day 3 started at noon EST and included Rounds 4-7. ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN Deportes and the NFL Network broadcasted the final rounds of the draft. Streaming options were also available through services such as Fubo, Hulu Live TV, NFL and YouTubeTV.
The second and third rounds took place on Friday at 7 p.m. EST.
Teams with picks in Round 4 included the Carolina Panthers, Seattle Seahawks (from Washington), New England Patriots, Arizona Cardinals, Los Angeles Chargers, Tennessee Titans, New York Giants and Minnesota Vikings.
Teams with picks in Round 5 were the Baltimore Ravens (from Denver through NY Jets), Jacksonville Jaguars and Cincinnati Bengals.
