The Duke of Sussex had hoped for a reunion with his father but was informed that it would not be possible due to His Majesty's commitments. Harry last saw King Charles in February during a brief visit following the monarch's cancer diagnosis (CNN).
Prince Harry attended the Invictus Games Foundation Conversation on Tuesday, May 8, at The Honourable Artillery Company headquarters in London. He was joined by British journalist Louise Minchin and entrepreneur Sir Keith Mills during the event (Harper's Bazaar).
The Invictus Games Foundation announced that a Service of Thanksgiving would take place later on Wednesday, May 9, at St. Paul's Cathedral to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the inaugural Invictus Games held in London in 2014 (Invictus Games Foundation).
The Duke of Sussex is expected to deliver a reading during the service while actor Damian Lewis will recite a poem. The next Invictus Games will be held in Vancouver and Whistler, Canada, in February 2025 (Invictus Games Foundation).
Prince Harry's visit to London marks his first trip since learning of his sister-in-law Catherine, Princess of Wales' cancer diagnosis in March. He is also expected to head to Nigeria at the invitation of the Nigerian Defence Headquarters following the Invictus celebrations (CNN).
