Robert Downey Jr. is making a shocking return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) after his character Tony Stark, aka Iron Man, died in Avengers: Endgame. This time, he will be portraying the iconic villain Victor Von Doom, also known as Doctor Doom, in two upcoming MCU films: Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars. The Russo brothers announced this surprise casting at Marvel's San Diego Comic-Con panel on July 28, 2024.
