Stevie Nicks, the legendary singer-songwriter and former member of Fleetwood Mac, paid tribute to her late bandmate Christine McVie during her performance at BST Hyde Park on July 12, 2024. The emotional concert marked what would have been McVie's 81st birthday. Nicks was joined on stage by Harry Styles for a duet of 'Stop Draggin' My Heart Around' and 'Landslide'.
Styles, who wore an embroidered songbird pin as a tribute to McVie, had not performed live since the end of his Love On Tour in July 2023. Nicks, meanwhile, often turns to the stage when dealing with heavy moments and has expressed that it helps her heal.
McVie tragically passed away in December 2022 after suffering a stroke. She was a key member of Fleetwood Mac and contributed significantly to their most successful album Rumours, which sold over 40 million copies worldwide.
Nicks' setlist for the night included 'Outside the Rain', 'Dreams', 'If Anyone Falls', 'For What It's Worth', 'Gypsy Wild Heart', and many more hits. The London weather was around 20C with cloudy conditions changing to sunny intervals by early evening.
Paris Paloma, Anna Calvi, Brandi Carlile, CATTY, Nina Nesbitt, Baby Queen and Siobhan Winifred performed before Nicks on various stages at BST Hyde Park. The concert series also featured headliners SZA, Kings of Leon, Morgan Wallen, Robbie Williams and Shania Twain.
