Tiger Woods Misses Cut at 2024 U.S. Open: Struggles with Consistency at Pinehurst No. 2

PINEHURST, N.C. - Tiger Woods' latest attempt to add to his major championship tally came up short at the 2024 U.S. Open as he missed the cut at Pinehurst No. 2.

Woods, who received a special exemption from the USGA to compete in the tournament, struggled with consistency throughout his two rounds.

In Thursday's opening round, Woods carded a 74 with five bogeys and one birdie. He followed that up with a 73 on Friday, which included three birdies but was marred by six bogeys and a double-bogey on the par-5 15th hole.

The missed putt for birdie at the 15th hole proved to be pivotal as Woods finished two shots outside the cutline at 7 over par. The three-time U.S. Open champion has now missed three consecutive major championship cuts: PGA Championship, Masters, and U.S. Open.

Despite his recent struggles on the course, Woods remains optimistic about his future in golf.
