The Newport Beach Police Department identified the three suspects as Jaden Cunningham, Malachi Eddward Darnell, and Leroyernest Joseph McCrary. All three were arrested and charged with homicide, robbery with firearm, and conspiracy.
Patricia's husband was not injured during the incident. The New Zealand Foreign Ministry confirmed that consular officials are providing assistance to her family.
The suspects have criminal records: Leroyernest Joseph McCrary has a history of being a narcotics addict in possession of a firearm and robbery charges, while Jaden Cunningham and Malachi Edward Darnell are both 18 years old.
