The Tribeca Film Festival, which will take place in New York City from June 5 to June 16, has announced its lineup for the 23rd edition. The festival will open with a new feature documentary on fashion icon Diane von Furstenberg titled 'Diane von Furstenberg: Woman in Charge'. This documentary provides an intimate look into the life of the designer and her iconic wrap dress.
In addition to this opening film, there are several world premieres scheduled. One of these is 'Sacramento', a road trip comedy directed by Michael Angarano and starring Kristen Stewart, Michael Cera, and Maya Erskine. Another is 'Winter Spring Summer Or Fall' led by Jenna Ortega with Percy Hynes White.
Furthermore, the festival will feature documentaries such as 'Saving Casa Bonita', which follows South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone as they restore an iconic Colorado restaurant. Another documentary, 'Jazzy', is a companion piece to The Unknown Country and stars Lily Gladstone and Jasmine Bearkiller Shangreaux.
The festival will also include films that trace the lives of Linda Perry and Avicii, as well as a movie starring Lily Gladstone. The full lineup consists of 103 features from 114 filmmakers in 48 countries, with 86 world premieres and 30 movies directed by first-time filmmakers.
