The 2024 Republican National Convention (RNC) is scheduled to take place in Milwaukee from July 15-18. The event will officially nominate the Republican Party's presidential ticket for the November 5 election. Former President Donald Trump is expected to attend, despite a shooting incident at his Pennsylvania campaign rally on July 13, which left one person dead and two others injured. The RNC will proceed as planned with heightened security measures in place.

The list of speakers for the convention includes potential vice presidential picks, lawmakers, governors, and celebrities such as Amber Rose from the UFC and Dana White. Trump's family members Lara Trump, Kimberly Guilfoyle, Donald Trump Jr., and Eric Trump are also expected to speak. Elected officials like Alabama Sen. Katie Britt, Arkansas Sen. Tom Cotton, Florida Sen. Rick Scott, and others will address the convention as well.

More than 50,000 people are expected to travel to Milwaukee for the event, with over 2,400 delegates gathering to adopt a new party platform that promises tax cuts and mass deportations of individuals in the U.S. illegally.

The RNC comes on the heels of an assassination attempt on Trump at his Pennsylvania campaign rally on July 13, which left one attendee dead and two others critically injured. The shooter, identified as Thomas Matthew Crooks, was killed by Secret Service agents following the incident.
