Two dangerous suspects, Tyrekennel Collins and Dezarrious Johnson, escaped from Claiborne County Detention Center in Mississippi on July 5, 2024. The escape occurred around 2:20 a.m., and both suspects are considered armed and dangerous.

Collins was being held for murder charges in Copiah County after allegedly killing his cousin in October 2023. Johnson, from Natchez, was being held for Jefferson County on charges of murder and aggravated assault, following an incident where he is accused of killing one individual and injuring two others.

The sheriff's department reported that Collins and Johnson escaped through the ceiling of the detention center and left behind an outside wall. One suspect was seen earlier in the day on China Grove Road during authorities' search efforts.

Collins, 24, and Johnson, 18, are described as Black males. Authorities urge all citizens to take necessary precautions for their safety.
