The second winner is from Henrico County in Virginia. They purchased their ticket at a local 7-Eleven store and won $1 million by matching the first five numbers but missing the Mega Ball number.

In the latest Mega Millions drawing on July 19, 2024, no one claimed the grand jackpot of $251 million. However, two lucky ticket holders from different parts of the country managed to win significant prizes.

The first winner is a resident of Southern California who purchased their winning ticket at Vons located on North Figueroa Street in Eagle Rock, Los Angeles. The player matched five numbers – 10, 17, 23, 50 and 67 – to win $548,195.

The second winner is from Henrico County in Virginia. They purchased their ticket at a local 7-Eleven store located at Laburnum Avenue. Although they missed the Mega Ball number, they still managed to win $1 million.

Despite no one winning the jackpot, there were 99,493 other winning tickets drawn on Friday with prizes ranging from $2 to $12,843.

The next drawing for the Mega Millions jackpot will be held on Tuesday, July 23. The current grand prize is now estimated at $279 million.

California Lottery officials stated that the winning ticket for Southern California was sold at Vons located at 7311 North Figueroa Street in Eagle Rock, Los Angeles. The player matched five numbers – 10, 17, 23, 50 and 67 – to win $548,195.

In Virginia, the lucky ticket holder purchased their winning ticket at a local convenience store located at Laburnum Avenue in Henrico County. They matched the first five numbers but missed the Mega Ball number to win $1 million.

The Virginia Lottery contributes all of its profits to K-12 education in Virginia. Last fiscal year, Henrico received over $30.7 million in Lottery funds for K-12 education.

In Fiscal Year 2023, the Lottery raised more than $867 million for K-12 education, which accounted for approximately 10 percent of Virginia’s total K-12 school budget.
