Two firefighters, Raegan Anderson and Chandler Kuhbander, from Liberty County, Georgia, have been found dead in Tennessee. The bodies were discovered inside Anderson's vehicle along Hollow Road in Cosby on July 1, 2024. Both individuals had been missing since late June.
Anderson was last seen getting into Kuhbander's car on June 24, and her ex-boyfriend's family believes she may not have been with him willingly. According to reports, Anderson had a history of suicidal ideation and was arrested just days before the disappearance after disrupting a date between Kuhbander and another woman at Olive Garden.
The Hinesville Police Department announced the discovery on Facebook, expressing their deep condolences to both families. The cause of death for Anderson and Kuhbander is currently unknown, with investigations being led by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and Cocke County Sheriff's Office.
Anderson and Kuhbander had been in a long-term relationship since high school but had recently broken up. Their families described them as dedicated firefighters who were deeply committed to their community in Liberty County, Georgia.
The community is shocked by the tragic passing of these two young individuals, with many expressing their condolences and support for the families on social media.
A GoFundMe has been set up to help support Kuhbander's family during this difficult time.
