Tyson Foods, a major producer of processed chicken products, has issued a recall for approximately 30,000 pounds of its dinosaur-shaped chicken nuggets due to potential contamination with small, pliable metal pieces. The recall was announced by the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service and affects 29-ounce plastic packages of the 'fully cooked Fun Nuggets breaded shaped chicken patties' produced on September 5, 2023. The packages carry a 'best if used by' date of September 4, 2024.

The affected products were distributed to several states including Alabama, California, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, Tennessee, Virginia, and Wisconsin. The USDA plans to post a list of stores that received the chicken on its recall website to further inform consumers.
