On May 17, 2024, Ukraine launched a massive drone attack against southwestern Russia and the Russian-occupied peninsula of Crimea. According to multiple sources, explosions hit fuel depots, oil facilities, an electricity substation in Sevastopol, and a power station in Crimea. At least three Russian jets were destroyed at an airfield in Crimea as a result of the attack.
