Warwick Davis, a renowned British actor known for his roles in 'Harry Potter' and 'Star Wars,' is mourning the loss of his wife, Samantha Davis. Samantha passed away on March 24, 2024, at the age of 53.
Warwick and Samantha met on the set of George Lucas' film 'Willow' in 1988 and married three years later in 1991. Their marriage was blessed with two children: Annabelle and Harrison. Sadly, they experienced the loss of their firstborn child shortly after birth due to complications from dwarfism genes inherited from both parents.
Samantha co-founded the charity Little People UK with Warwick and his business partner Peter Burroughs in 2011. She also appeared on screen alongside her husband, including in 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2,' where she played a goblin.
Warwick described Samantha as his 'superpower' and 'favorite human.' He shared that she was always seeing the sunny side of life, had a wicked sense of humor, and laughed at his bad jokes. The couple faced numerous challenges together but remained strong and supportive of each other.
Samantha also experienced health issues in 2019 when she fell ill with sepsis ahead of a family holiday. However, she was determined that it would not impact her quality of life.
Warwick's statement to the BBC expressed his deep sadness over Samantha's passing and the void left in their lives. The couple's children also paid tribute to their mother, expressing their love and gratitude for her unwavering support and happiness throughout their lives.
