The PARTNER 3 and Evolut trials found that TAVR outperformed surgical aortic valve replacement (SAVR) in terms of mortality, stroke, and rehospitalization rates at one year. A separate study found that adding left atrial appendage occlusion (LAAO) to TAVR did not increase the risk of complications.
