Salmonella Outbreak Linked to Dry Dog Food Leads to Recall

Broke On: Friday, 10 November 2023 The CDC and FDA have issued a warning about a salmonella outbreak linked to dry dog food. The outbreak has resulted in seven cases across seven states, with one hospitalization. Most of those infected were infants. The US Food and Drug Administration has recalled the Victor brand Hi-Pro Plus dry dog food, which is linked to the outbreak. Other brands of dry dog food and cat food from the same manufacturer, Texas-based Mid America Pet Food, are also included in the recall.
