Broke On: Thursday, 16 November 2023 WASP-107b is a 'puffy' exoplanet located 212 light-years away. The exoplanet's atmosphere contains water vapor, sulfur dioxide, and silicate sand clouds. The presence of sulfur dioxide could indicate a water-sulfuric acid evaporative cycle. The absence of methane suggests a potentially warm interior. This is the first instance where astronomers have been able to identify the chemical composition of clouds in a distant planet.
