Jermont Terry is a news reporter who was born and raised on Chicago's South Side. He has been with CBS2 Chicago since October 2019 after working in various roles at other news stations across the country for 18 years. Jermont has won numerous awards for his investigative journalism, including an Associated Press award and a prestigious Edward R. Murrow Award. He is an active member of the National Association of Black Journalists and the Investigative Reporters and Editors. Jermont graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelors of Science in broadcast journalism. He is known for his dedication to uncovering the truth and telling stories that matter to people.
