Chad Pergram,

Senior Congressional Correspondent Chad Pergram currently serves as a senior congressional correspondent for FOX News Channel (FNC). He joined the network in September 2007 and is based out of Washington, D.C. Most recently, Pergram covered the dramatic elections for House Speaker. Pergram reported from the Capitol throughout the removal of Kevin McCarthy as Speaker, as well as the numerous votes that ultimately led to Mike Johnson becoming the new Speaker of the House. Earlier in 2023, he provided Fox viewers with unparalleled historical context, deciphering maneuvers and strategy from the House floor as House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) finally prevailed in a post-witching hour vote. Pergram has also reported on the hearings of The Select Committee's Investigation of the January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol. Pergram was barricaded in the basement during the January 6th, 2021 Capitol riot and provided critical minute-by-minute updates on the situation for fifteen hours straight on the air until the building was secured. He has also been a staple of FNC's coverage of the first and second impeachments of President Trump, breaking down procedural elements and providing timely analysis. In addition to his work as a reporter, Pergram has won several awards for his journalism, including the Joan S. Barone Award for Excellence in National Affairs/Public Policy Broadcast from the Radio/Television Correspondents Association twice (in 2007 and 2020), making him one of the few journalists to do so.
