Broke On: Tuesday, 28 November 2023 Marianna Budanova, the wife of Ukraine's intelligence chief, Lieutenant General Kyrylo Budanov, has been diagnosed with heavy metals poisoning. The exact nature of the heavy metals causing the poisoning has not been disclosed. Several other personnel from the military intelligence agency (GUR) have also been diagnosed with the same poisoning. Budanov had previously told local media that his wife lived with him in his office, which could suggest he was the intended target for the poisoning. Earlier this year, it was reported that Budanov had survived 10 assassination attempts by the Russian state security service.
