George F.
George F. Will is a Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist for The Washington Post and a contributing analyst with ABC News. Will has written several books on politics, philosophy, baseball and other topics. He was born in Champaign, Illinois, and educated at Trinity College, Oxford University and Princeton University. He began his career as an editorial writer for The Detroit News before joining the staff of U.S. Sen. Gordon L. Allott (R-Colo.). He later became Washington editor of National Review and a columnist for Newsweek before joining The Post in 1974. Will has won numerous awards for his writing, including the Pulitzer Prize for commentary in 1976 and finalist citations from the National Magazine Awards competition. He was also named one of the most influential journalists in Washington by The Washington Journalism Review and received a Silurian Award for editorial writing. He is widely regarded as one of the most prominent conservative voices in American media.
