Ben Collins

Ben Collins is a former Formula Three driver and professional racing driver who has also worked as a stuntman in Hollywood films and presented a TV show on BBC Three. He is best known for his legal fight to publish an autobiography in which he claims to be The Stig, the mystery driver on the BBC's Top Gear show. In his career, he has won prizes at various levels of motor sports, including Formula Ford, Formula Vauxhall Junior, and the Formula Opel Winter Series. He progressed to Formula Three by 1996 and has also tested for Formula One and driven in World Sportscars and European Ascar oval racing. In addition to his racing career, Collins has worked as a stunt double in Hollywood films such as National Treasure: Book of Secrets and Quantum of Solace. He has also presented Xtreme Teen Drivers on BBC Three in 2007. Lastly, he lived in the city of his birth and still lives there today.
