With over 25 years of experience in television news, Heather has worked across the globe and won multiple Emmys and a Murrow award for her anchoring and reporting. She has covered several major news events including 9/11, political campaigns for Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders, and New York COVID-19 Nursing Home investigative reports. Prior to joining KBTX in May 2023, Heather held roles at various news organizations including KXAS in Dallas, WKTV in Utica, NY, Reuters Business News NYC, News 12 NY, KVUE in Austin and WRGB in Albany, NY. She has also been featured in HERLIFE Magazine. Heather is a graduate of Southern Methodist University with a BA in Journalism and BA in Psychology.

The American Hospital Association urged health-care organizations to disconnect from Optum until it is deemed safe to reconnect. Baylor Scott & White Health in Bryan, Texas immediately severed known connections identified by Change Healthcare as at risk or potentially involved with the issues.
