Vincent Cruywagen

Gayton McKenzie was born on July 14th, 1968 in Beaufort West. He grew up with his mother and father in the town of Laingsburg. After completing his secondary education at Laingsburg High School, he went on to study business management at the University of Western Cape before starting a career as an entrepreneur. In 2013, McKenzie founded the Patriotic Alliance (PA) political party with Kenny Kunene and was elected as its president. He has been serving as mayor of Beaufort West since May 2019.
