The affected brands are La Fiesta, Marcum, MK, Swad, Supreme Tradition and El Chilar. These products were found in various stores including discount retailers such as Save A LotMTCI and Dollar Tree and Family DollarEl Chillar. Additional ground cinnamon products have also been found to contain elevated levels of lead after a massive recall of tainted cinnamon applesauce pouches last fall. Consumers should be aware and cautious when purchasing spices as they can sometimes contain harmful substances.
