Frances Robles
Frances Robles is an investigative reporter for The New York Times, specializing in deeply reported investigative stories out of Florida, Central America, Cuba and Puerto Rico on a range of topics including migration, corruption, police shootings and human rights. She has been a journalist for more than 30 years and has worked at The Miami Herald where she covered Cuba. Robles was the lead reporter on the Trayvon Martin case for The Herald. She joined The Times in 2013 and is a key member of a team that won the George Polk Award for international reporting for coverage of the assassination of Haitian president Jovenel Moïse. In her spare time, she works closely with the Times Guild union. Robles has been a contributor to two Pulitzer Prize-winning teams and was a finalist for three more.
