Faith Egbuonu is a reporter for KOAT Action 7 News, joining the team in August 2022. Originally from Nigeria and now based in Los Angeles, she has experience as a news reporter and multimedia journalist in Southeast New Mexico. There, she covered stories across the region and also served as a fill-in host and correspondent for a weekly lifestyle program. Faith began her career in television as a camera operator before becoming a floor director for morning and afternoon newscasts. She holds a degree in Journalism with a minor in Marketing from California State University Dominguez Hills, believing that integrity and fairness are key components of journalism. As part of the KOAT-TV team, Faith is committed to sharing stories that reflect the New Mexico community.

The car of the missing SC paramedic was found on the scene and Phonesia Machado-Gore has been identified as the person found dead in South Carolina. Jaremy Smith from Marion, South Carolina is considered a person of interest in connection to her death.
