KMBC multimedia reporter Alan Shope loves Kansas City so much, he’s moved here three times. The Wichita, Kan., native and Wichita State graduate has done nearly every job in television from news editor to sports director in towns from Topeka, Kan., to Atlanta. He currently is a multimedia journalist working on news and sports at KMBC. He has a passion for college basketball, NFL and NASCAR. Alan loves racing so much, he says he’d live in the Kansas Speedway infield if they let him. Alan’s hobbies include golf and basketball and collecting AFX slot cars with more than a thousand in his collection.
